Australian Flight Attendant Reminds Cabin to Flush Drugs Down Toilet

Such announcements are routine, but this employee's words were "poorly chosen," Australian airline Jetstar said

Australia’s reputation as a haven perennially secure from terrorist threats may have come into question recently, but it seems that air travel in the country is still a pretty lax affair.

The Daily Telegraph, a Sydney newspaper, reports that a flight attendant on domestic airline Jetstar kindly reminded passengers aboard a Sydney-bound flight to flush their drugs and other contraband down the aircraft toilet prior to landing. There were, she said, “sniffer dogs and quarantine officers” waiting in the domestic terminal.

'Get On Up' review: James Brown bio hits a flat note

James Brown was all about the groove, but the film of his life never finds its own.

What is "Get On Up" trying to be? A Southern memory play, full of melancholy ghosts? A hip, break-the-fourth-wall piece of irony, with Brown talking to us, directly? A straightforward bio with music?

Yes, and yes and yes.

And no.

The picture has Brown's incredible songs, and several good performances (several more, in fact, than "Jersey Boys," a film about a very different kind of music, but with a similar fondness for now-listen-up addresses to the camera).

Justin Bieber And Orlando Bloom Maybe, Possibly Just Had The Lamest Fight Ever

You know those fights in baseball where everyone rushes out onto the field and then just sorta gives each other dirty looks for a little while?

Well, here's one that might be even lamer -- the supposed fight between Orlando Bloom and Justin Bieber that went viral Tuesday night.

TMZ, which posted the video, says the "what's up bitch" you can (barely) hear at the beginning of the clip is Bieber yelling at Bloom, but that's about as exciting as it gets. Most of the footage shows guys standing around, with a little finger-pointing for good measure.

Beyonce looking for apartment without Jay-Z, report says

Beyoncé may already have one foot out the door — she’s been secretly shopping for new digs without Jay Z, sources told The Post.

The booty-ful belter looked at a $21.5 million Chelsea penthouse early last month — weeks after a videotaped elevator-smackdown involving Bey’s sister, Solange Knowles, and Jay, and amid growing rumors of an impending break-up, said sources close to the superstar couple.

Fueling the notion that Beyoncé is not shopping for the both of them is the fact that Jay Z has always been extremely involved in their real-estate deals, sources said.

A year after Los Angeles was turned into chum, April has written a best-seller about the trauma, and the two are flying to the Big Apple on a book tour. But Fin is still grumpy. “Oh, yeah, I got eaten by a shark. How much fun do you think that was?”

James Shigeta dies at 85; starred in 'Flower Drum Song' and 'Die Hard'

Actor James Shigeta played the leading male role in the lavish movie musical "Flower Drum Song" in 1961. The year before, he won a Golden Globe as most promising newcomer.

But after "Flower Drum Song" he never again played the leading man in a major film.

"He was so handsome, debonair," said actor James Hong, who appeared in several films and TV shows with Shigeta. "But there was the stigma in Hollywood about Asian leading men."

Shigeta, 85, died Monday at an assisted-living facility in Beverly Hills. He had been in declining health since suffering a stroke about two years ago, said his sister-in-law, Ellie Shigeta.

'The Biggest Movie Star' in Gwyneth Paltrow's Family

Actress Hosts Screening for Simon Pegg's New Movie

EAST HAMPTON—When reduced to its basest idea, Gwyneth Paltrow's website Goop is all about the search for happiness, right? Whether it's through a trip to Missoula, Mont., with a $660 Isabel Marant striped blanket coat, or making spinach salad with spiced pecans, lamb bacon, Clemson blue cheese and bourbon vinaigrette.

But that's not the reason Ms. Paltrow hosted a screening of "Hector and the Search for Happiness" at the East Hampton Cinema on Monday night. The film's star Simon Pegg, who has appeared in such movies as "Shaun of the Dead," "Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol" and as Scotty in the recent "Star Trek" reboots, is the godfather to Apple, AAPL -0.65% Ms. Paltrow's daughter with Coldplay singer Chris Martin. (In turn, Mr. Martin is the godfather of Mr. Pegg's daughter, Matilda.)

'Guardians of the Galaxy' review: Absolute Marvel

One scene into "Guardians of the Galaxy," Chris Pratt's Peter Quill — thieving Ravager, self-styled Star Lord, and general galactic ne'er-do-well — walks into an alien treasurehouse.

He takes off his high-tech mask. Looks around. Pauses. And then, grooving to the tape on his carefully preserved Walkman, boogies down to that '70s guilty pleasure, "Come and Get Your Love."

And that's when we see what "Guardians of the Galaxy" is doing. And know that it knows exactly what it's doing.
