IT WOULD BE her X Factor debut, as Madonna is rumoured to be lined up for a live performance on the UK's ITV talent show.

With Simon Cowell returning to the judging panel, alongside Cheryl Cole, it would seem the music mogul is pulling strings for some A-list guests.

Madonna has never appeared on any kind of talent show before, but it seems the queen of pop is set to make her debut this autumn.

PETER Sculthorpe was the fun-loving, avuncular figure of Australian composition, but also a deeply sensitive artist who heard the sound of the continent and gave it expression in music.

Sculthorpe, who died in Sydney yesterday at age 85, has been remembered as Australia’s greatest composer.

Best known for his orchestral and chamber works, the Launceston-born Sculthorpe had a long career that started with his earliest compositions at age nine. His output included 18 string quartets, two operas, a choral Requiem and orchestral works including Kakadu, Mangrove and Earth Cry.

Outside Lands: Kim Kardashian cheers on husband Kanye West at festival




Reality TV star Kim Kardashian spent part of Friday in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, cheering on husband Kanye West as he performed at the mammoth Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival.

Kardashian posted a photo on Instagram from the show, which she then tweeted out to her nearly 23 million followers. The tweet simply read "Yeezus" (the name of West's most recent album), with a hashtag of #outsidelands. West also mentioned from the stage that his superstar wife was at the festival -- news that had the capacity crowd buzzing.

Aubrey and member Shannon Bex took to Twitter, without Dawn, and posted a lengthy note (one from each of the girls and a joint letter) to their DK fans, giving them the “unfiltered truth,” behind the split and what exactly happened between Aubrey and Dawn.

David Duchovny, Téa Leoni to Divorce

Actors David Duchovny and Téa Leoni are officislly calling it quits after 17 years of marriage. People reports that Duchovny, 54, filed for divorce in June, citing an “irretrievable breakdown” of the relationship. Leoni, 48, will have primary physical custody of their two children, Kyd Miller, 12, and Madelaine West, 15. 

Duchovny will pay $8,000 a month in child support along with $40,000 a month in spousal support. 
Duchovny and Leoni initially separated in 2008, the same year Duchovny entered rehab for sex addiction. They later reconciled and separated again in 2011.
