The Kardashians Have A Hair Tools Line Now, Because Of Course

There are plenty of reasons we kan't keep up with the Kardashians. Between pregnanices and million-dollar-grossing phone apps, it seems like every day they're debuting some type of new product/family member. And today is no different.

Women's Wear Daily reported Thursday that sisters Kardash are launching a line of hair tools in partnership with Farouk Systems, the powerhouse behind some of your favorite hair products (Chi and Biosilk, anyone?)

What Going Blonde Really Does to Your Hair

One could argue that every summer is the summer of blonde, but this summer’s particularly bright, thanks to a slew of women, from Maggie Gyllenhaal to Lauren Conrad, going platinum. Gone are beachy highlights and faded ombre in favor of white-blonde hair that looks cool—and causes serious damage. But exactly how much damage is what I wanted to know. The scoop, below.

Four legged fillies get overlooked on Ladies Day at the Dublin Horse Show

With Ladies Day in full swing at the Dublin Horse Show, the four-legged fillies were barely getting a look in.

"I'd like to watch the showjumping but..." shrugged a contestant preoccupied between keeping her large hat balanced and maintaining her place in the queue.

And with acclaimed milliner Philip Treacy on the judging panel, the stakes were higher than ever.

Throwback Thursday: House of Style returns to MTV with Iggy Azalea

House of Style in the house for #TBT!

Pop star Iggy Azalea is channeling her inner fashionista and reviving the MTV show that first aired in 1989 and ran for 11 years. HOS is probably best remembered for its original and hottest hostess, Cindy Crawford, who led the model-happy series for six sexy years. One unforgettable episode (No. 50) featured Dennis Rodman, with whom Crawford goes bathing suit shopping in Seattle (hello, banana hammock) in 1996.

Edinburgh festival review: Mr Swallow – The Musical delivers Morecambe and Wise-style entertainment

Nick Mohammed's excitable alter ego stages a musical version of Dracula that is pure knockabout fun

Character comedy usually requires the establishment of a consistent, well-defined character – a boorish pub landlord, say, or foot-in-mouth TV presenter. Nick Mohammed's alter ego Mr Swallow is one of the most vivid comedy personae doing the rounds, even though it has seldom been clear precisely who he is, or what (if anything) he is parodying. That is a testament to the strength of Mohammed's bizarre characterisation: the colossally self-absorbed Swallow can be transposed to any predicament, and he'll still be wittering on, getting excitable and imposing himself where he's not wanted.

My love and appreciation of fashion is all down to mum

I'm Belfast born and bred, it's my home. So the business is firmly rooted in Belfast.

I've always had an interest in fashion. I came from an era when mums made the clothes from bits and bobs of unique and unusual fabrics. My love of colour and texture were nurtured by my mum. And the variety of clothes available back then is not what it is today so the clothes mum made were always quite unique – there are still some in the attic. So my interest developed back then and refined itself over the years.

Greg Krelenstein Reads Fashion’s Crystal Ball

While walking home from Jivamukti Yoga in Union Square last February, Greg Krelenstein — arguably the least-conspicuous member of the D.J. collective Misshapes, who is now the editorial director at the Starworks Group, a fashion communications agency in New York, had a vision: Madonna and Katy Perry should appear together on the May cover of V Magazine

“I think some of my best ideas come from yoga,” Mr. Krelenstein said. “Your mind is free.” He phoned Stephen Gan, the editor in chief of V, to share his epiphany on the two tongue-in-cheek queens of the moment.

Spring’s in as colours pop and fashion classics get reinvented

Fashion’s frantic obsession with sexiness has been easing for several seasons but in spring, the bandage frocks, knicker-flash hemlines, side cleavage tops and hooker-high heels should have fizzled almost completely except for the odd society bash and red carpet where attention-seekers gather.

A new flush of fresh, sporty, feminine looks, rich tropical colours and prints, playful and uber-cool denims, crisp and easy separates, and an elegant nod to every “vintage” decade from the 1950s to the '90s, is moving in for warm days.

Our Week Without Makeup

Last week, we wrote about Annie Garau, the 20-year-old Indiana University student spending one year makeup-free. Both moved by and curious about her story, the Yahoo Beauty team decided to jump on Garau’s bandwagon. It wasn’t quite a year, but we did spend a whole week without makeup—minus one very legit cheat! Read on for our reflections on the experiment.

Naked or Not: A Hint of Makeup

No makeup-makeup is everyone’s favorite look these days. Glowing skin, big bright eyes, and a flush of color where the sun hits has turned into the ideal—and with good reason. When done right, a little bit of makeup goes a long way, and nothing’s more flattering than enhancing your own best assets instead of trying to paint on new ones. It’s why an increasing number of brands are releasing “nude” or “naked” collections, and why foundation, blush, and bronzer formulas keep getting better at letting your own skin shine through. Below, our guide to your best self in less than 10 minutes.

Trash Your Make-Up

I don't usually advocate throwing things away. But there is one category of goods that needs to be tossed on the regular: make-up. We truly do a disservice to our skin when we use the same make-up for too long; the money we save ends up giving us zits, blackheads, even infections.

Here are a few reminders:

Hilton Head residents want makeup day for burning after wet weekend

Leaves and pine straw are piling up for some Hilton Head Island residents who say last weekend's rain prevented them from burning yard debris.

They want a makeup day, but the town won't give them another chance to burn this month, a Town of Hilton Head Island Fire & Rescue Division spokeswoman said Wednesday. Town ordinance allows two consecutive days a month to burn.

How ‘American Horror Story’ Makeup Artist Christien Tinsley Creates the Chilling Looks

“American Horror Story” needs more than your run-of-the-mill makeup job.

With characters like a Minotaur, a serial killer that uses the skin of its victims for a mask, and a decapitated Kathy Bates, the FX drama needs a professional touch to bring those characters to life.

One of Clemson's targets for the 2016 class will attend the Tigers' season opener against Georgia. DB Chad Clay (6-1 178) of Marietta, GA has the Bulldogs high on his list and also has interest in the Tigers.

"They were the first school to offer me during the end of my freshman season," Clay said. "They kind of put me on the map. I like it up there. I went to the Florida State game last year and, even though they lost, it was a great atmosphere and a great place to be."

Language of chemistry is unveiled by molecular make-up

DO YOU speak chemistry? Analysing molecular structures as if they were sentences has revealed hidden "words" that are key to their make-up.

The approach suggests that algorithms like the ones Google uses in search engines might reveal ways to mix up molecules or invent drugs.

2 Beauty Rules from Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo has two beauty rules: “I never go to sleep without taking off my makeup and I never leave the house without my makeup on.” The model and “it” girl gets it from her mother and grandmother, both of whom taught her the importance of being “elegant and polished” at all times. Palermo might have risen to fame for her spot-on fashion choices, but don’t underestimate her love of beauty.

Well, meet BareSkin, the biggest launch from bareMinerals in 20 years since they shook up the makeup market with their original loose mineral foundation.

Out online today, the new type of foundation formula has only half the ingredients of the average liquid on the market and no silicone, parabens, fragrance or oil. Hello healthy, happy skin - we hope.

Then I use La Prairie Cellular Softening and Balancing Lotion, which is a toner with anti-irritant ingredients. I alternate La Prairie lotion with SK-II Facial Treatment Essence.

Sarah Vine Beauty Sleuth: How to get gorgeous as you laze on your sunlounger

There’s nothing I like more than lying on my sunlounger — the sea ahead, sunshade above and ice-cold somethingorother in hand — and losing myself in a good fantasy book.

I’m not talking three-breasted women from Mars, or goatish forest rites; I’m talking health and fitness; diet; meditation, self-knowledge. General betterment.

In other words, hopeless fantasies of how utterly hot and fabulous I would look if I could ever muster the time or the self-discipline to follow a fitness regime properly and for more than three days at a time.

5 Healthy Beauty Tips To Enjoy The Last Days Of Summer

We've been having the best summer ever, indulging in warm-weather treats like ice cream and savory bites such as juicy hamburgers. But there's no doubt that all that "good-eating" has had some not-so-good effects on our skin.

After sending out an S.O.S. (save our skin, that is) alert, beauty editor-turned-health coach Jolene Hart came to our rescue with her book, "Eat Pretty: Nutrition for Beauty, Inside And Out."

Carrie Writes: Nordstrom shows world beauty comes from the inside out with model Jillian Mercado

We are all beautiful creatures in our own ways.

Beauty begins on the inside shinning through our hearts. Clothes, accessories and make-up only enhance our natural beauty while expressing our own style.

We should embrace our true selves not cover it up. I have always struggled with body image issues in my life.

The Hundred-Foot Journey review: Om Puri, Helen Mirren save you from indigestion

The Hundred-Foot Journey begins with a walk through a fictitious Mumbai market. Instead of a shopping list, what we get is an Exotic India checklist. There are bright colours, crowds, heaps of flowers, friendly banter, a lot of jostling and — wait for it — as basket of sea urchins. If you think spotting these in Mumbai is unlikely, then wait for what happens next. A gaggle of women start yelling as they fight with one another over who should get the sea urchins. In this melee is a young boy. He picks up a sea urchin, opens it and sniifs, breathing in its distinctive aroma.

The Bachelor recap: catfights, bucking broncos and the smooth sounds of Blake Garvey

The girls seem to share the opinion that Blake and Holly snogged - much better to have them think that than that perhaps he just wasn’t that into you, right?
Oh, he’s a smoothie, isn’t he?
Perth’s own series two bachelor, 31-year-old auctioneer Blake Garvey, has a voice like melted chocolate, the kind of voice that would make him a suitable heir to the throne of FM radio’s recently retired “Love God” Richard Mercer.

Are These Really the Best Dressed People in the World?

Be slim, wealthy, and tasteful—famous is optional. Vanity Fair’s best-dressed list is out, featuring only one black female face. At least Queen MĆ”xima lives up to her name.

Who knew it was so complicated, so intensely evaluated, to be considered “internationally best dressed?” Vanity Fair’s 2014 list of the people who do not, as some of us do, feel a sense of achievement from merely leaving our front doors with things vaguely tucked into the right places, has been published.
