Lindsay Lohan's Moving To London To Escape The Celeb Obsessed US

Lindsay Lohan has been in London for the last few months as she reherses for her West End debut in a David Mamet's latest production of Speed-the-Plow. But the actress has claimed she might stay, because the UK is less obsessed with celebrities.

After years of hard-partying, run-ins with police and a drama-filled personal life, it looks like Lohan wants a fresh start. And it might just be across the pond in good old Blighty, where the Mean Girls star appears to be settling in, pretty well.

Speaking to the BBC this weekend, she claimed London was more chilled than Los Angeles and New York.

"I think I am making the move to come over here...I've noticed when I'm watching the news here and such, you guys have such a different outlook."

Claiming the UK is less celeb-obsessed, she went on: "In the U.S., starting at 5 p.m., it's TMZ and all of these shows that are just talking about people's personal lives that are in the industry. Here, I don't notice any of that. It's more news and politics and music,"

She added: "It feels really good to be able to turn on the TV and not see everything be about gossip."

Despite her comments, Linds has been to Chiltern Firehouse at least twice a week, since arriving in the UK in May, where the paparazzi have virtually set-up camp as a troup of celebrities arrive every night.

Lindsay's had an up and down year. This time last year she was in rehab for the sixth time. Leaving at the end of July, she moved to New York to start again and with Oprah Winfrey as her life coach and a reality TV series lined up, how could she loose?

Well she managed to screw that on up too. Her Lindsay reality TV show split fans, as the actress appeared to throw diva strops and behaved irrationally. There were also claims from Lindsay that she's suffered a miscarriage during filming and that was why she'd banned the cameras for a few weeks.

Her sobriety was also called into question. She was accused of drinking at the Coachella Music Festival in April and admitted she'd relapsed when speaking to David Letterman about her progress.

So will London really give Hollywoood's latest 'child star to trainwreck' a new beginning?
