Classiest move by a celebrity on an airplane: Amy Adams

Usually when we hear about famous people and their behavior on airplanes, it's not in a positive light (looking at you, Words With Friends devotee Alec Baldwin). But Adams went a different route on a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles last week when she gave up her first-class seat to a U.S. soldier, taking his spot in coach. Talented and generous? Now those are some star qualities.

Most convincing evidence that Queen Bey is actually a queen: Beyoncé tops Forbes Celebrity 100 ranking

At this point, the prefix often placed before Beyoncé's name isn't much of an exaggeration. Shortly after she and husband Jay Z took off on their On the Run tour, Forbes released its 15th annual ranking of the rich and famous this week — and Bey knocked Oprah Winfrey out of the top spot. The singer has been on the list since 2004, but this is the first time she's ascended to the peak, with estimated earnings of $115 million in the past year. And talk about a power couple: Jay Z came in at No. 6 (with a mere $60 million).

Best reminder to always double-check your spelling: BET gets Lionel Richie's name wrong

If you're going to give someone a lifetime-achievement award, you should probably make sure you have the correct spelling of the recipient's name. BET missed the memo last weekend at its awards show, honoring Lionel "Ritchie," causing us to wonder, "Hello? Is it 'Richie' you're looking for?" But beyond the gaffe, the singer had some memorable things to say in his acceptance speech: "Soul is a feeling, not a color. Talent is a God-given gift, not a category. And out-of-the-box is that magical place where true talent goes to live and thrive and breathe."

Celebrity offspring with the brightest future: Hailie Scott Mathers

Seems as if Eminem's daughter had herself an outstanding senior year at Chippewa Valley High School in Clinton Township, Mich. The 18-year-old was crowned homecoming queen in October, just graduated summa cum laude with a GPA of 3.9 or higher, and is headed to Michigan State University in the fall. She also won her high school's Academic Excellence Award and Department of Psychology Award, and she thanks her parents in a school newsletter for the influence they've had on her: "They have pushed me to be the person I am and have given me all the support to achieve what I have." Good luck, Hailie!

Best advice from one GMA anchor to another: Amy Robach to Joan Lunden

In the face of receiving some scary news, former Good Morning America co-host Joan Lunden returned to the show last week to reveal she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer. Current anchor Amy Robach, who also found out she had the disease in October and completed her chemo in April, shared with People the advice she'd given Lunden about battling cancer. "I told her, 'Lean on people and accept help.' I think that's a hard thing for a lot of us to do, to accept help and to let people help you. I think that, for me, was one of the hardest things. To let people help you out when you're struggling. Us women, we want to do it all, right?"

Biggest gap between expectation and reality: Pippa Middleton's famous white dress

In Matt Lauer's Today interview with the royal family's favorite little sister, Pippa revealed the true intentions behind her now-famous dress (and her now-famous, uh, behind) seen 'round the world during sister Duchess Kate's 2011 wedding. "The plan was not for it to be a significant dress, to blend in," she said. "I suppose it's flattering. Embarrassing, definitely. It wasn't planned." As for its current whereabouts? "It's in my wardrobe at home. Haven't worn it since. … I think it's the sort of thing that I'm sure I'll bring out if someone wanted to see it or my children one day want to see it."
