Beyonce Leads 2014 MTV Video Music Awards Nominations With 8

The surprise self-titled album that Beyonce released last December is set to help her cash in at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).

The singer leads the pack with a total of eight nominations from her fifth offering, including Video of the Year ("Drunk in Love") and Best Female Video ("Partition").

The former Destiny's Child star simultaneously released a video for each track on the album, and three of them have garnered nominations.

Queen B will also be in the running for "Best Collaboration" (with husband Jay-Z on "Drunk in Love"), Best Choreography ("Partition"), Best Video with a Social Message ("Pretty Hurts").

Iggy Azalea and Eminem both follow with seven nods each.

The 2014 VMAs will be held at the Los Angeles Forum on August 24.

So far 5 Seconds Of Summer and Usher make up the list of performers.
