Just months after ending one engagement, Glee star Naya Rivera flocked to Mexico and married longtime friend Ryan Dorsey.
“We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife,” Rivera and Dorsey told People. “Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for.”
The pair wed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on July 19, surrounded by close family. According to reports, Rivera and Dorsey’s friendship grew into a romance. The couple met four years ago, but didn’t find romance together until after Rivera’s seven-month engagement to rapper Big Sean ended in April. “True love always prevails,” the couple said.

The day they exchanged vows, the 27-year-old posted photos from her Mexican vacation to her Instagram account, but didn’t give any mention to her wedding. Later that day, she walked down the aisle in a beautiful white lace Monique Lhuillier gown while Dorsey wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit.
People reports that the couple is back in LA now after their quiet ceremony, where Rivera is prepping for the sixth and final season of Glee. Earlier this year there were rumors about a rift between the actress and fellow cast member Lea Michele, and that Rivera was fired from her role.
While she isn’t leaving the show altogether, Rivera will not be a series regular for the upcoming season, which will only air 13 episodes. “Naya wants to have more time to explore her music and other endeavors,” a source told E!.
