London Grammar Nixes Australia Tour, Hannah Reid Sick

London Grammar has nixed more live dates due to lead singer Hannah Reid’s poor health.

The British group has pulled out from their scheduled slot at this weekend’s Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay, Australia and shows in Melbourne and Sydney have been postponed to March 2015.

The electronic pop outfit also missed Scotland’s T in the Park festival after Reid apparently lost her voice.

Splendour organizers Paul Piticco and Jess Ducrou have issued a joint statement in which they “send Hannah our best and hope she’s fighting fit again very soon.” The trio’s slot at Splendour will be filled by homegrown electronic dance outfit the Presets, while the rescheduled sideshows are slotted in for March 12, 2015 at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, and two days later at Melbourne’s Festival Hall.

“It’s with great sadness that we must announce the cancelation of our trip to Australia & Splendour in the Grass this week due to illness,” the band explains in a statement. “This is an incredibly sad situation for us as our last visit was one of the most memorable of our careers, but we do not feel that we can currently deliver the level of performance that you all deserve from us."

London Grammar’s late withdrawal from the July 25-27 Splendour lineup comes on the heels of Two Door Cinema Club’s cancelation, also due to illness (Foals will fill their place on the bill) while U.S. rocker the Wild Feathers pulled out citing scheduling conflicts.

Tickets to London Grammar’s now postponed Sydney and Melbourne shows sold-out in a matter of days. The group first toured Australia in January for three headlining dates, all of which sold out in “just a few hours,” according to promoters.
