United States viewers appear somewhat bemused by The Real Housewives of Melbourne, which made its debut on US television screens overnight.
Twitter was awash with bitchy comments about the Australian version of the long-running Real Housewives franchise, many of them focusing on the appearance of the six stars.

The Real Housewives franchise was spawned by The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006. Since then New York City, Atlanta, Athens and Vancouver are among the cities that have been given the Real Housewives treatment.
