R.I.P. MICHAEL JOHNS An "American Idol" Season 7 finalist died Friday at age 35, evidently of a blood clot in his ankle, said The Hollywood Reporter. Michael Johns, who finished eighth in the 2008 season, had gone on to release the album "Hold Back My Heart." "Michael Johns was an incredible talent and we are deeply saddened by the news of his passing," read a statement on the show's Facebook page. "He was a part of our 'American Idol' family and he will be truly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this difficult time." He is survived by his wife, Stacey.
